the joy of childhood

i decided to take a stroll to jurong point after dinner just now to rent some vcds and i must say that on the way there and back i actually felt cold for the first time! what is happening to the weather these few days??

well i haven't been doing anything productive this week and my parents are begining to nag about that. did a couple of work outs, swims, sun tanning, checking out books at kino, window shopping with boren and of course going down for trainings. finally, im done with packing and cleaning up my room, except for getting the few furniture i want from ikea. my dad's been asking me to go sign up for courses to acquire some new skills during the holidays and not rot at home. submitted my application for my powerboating license and yeah, guess i wouldn't mind anything else with company around. anyone has anything in mind? =) boren and i are gonna try out baking cookies and brownies next week! if they turn out good... well you know what you can expect for christmas this year. hahaha, but dont worry we'll make sure they're up to standard before letting you guys to try them! =)

hmmm... just a couple of weeks back, a group of us decided to undergo a project to help out our primary school red cross link unit. i've been thinking alot about this lately, about the time, commitment, training, etc towards it. i believe not only will assisting them be beneficial to both units, fmssrcy and fmps rcy link, but also to us as individuals. after having been trained as a cadet and training cadets in the teenage age for 2-4 years, i have to admit it'll be a challenge for us now to switch our ways in teaching these little ones. methods such as tekaning, corporal punishment, scolding and many other high expectations will no longer be useful towards these kids. but still, if theres a will, theres a way. though not an easy task this project will be, i took it up believing that as much as i'll be able to share my knowledge and passion for redcross with these kids, so too will i be able to learn and experience from these little ones about our long lost worry-free and joyful childhood we all once had but lost as soon as growing up took place.

and the party begins

WOAH. Os are gone just like that. hallelujah! wahaha.

but frankly you know, its not easy changing from the lifestyle i used to had. mug mug mug. and now its slack slack slack. hah. everyone may be having fun right now. but you gotta admit it when i say things will end up getting extremely boring very soon. hahas. and i am starting to feel the boredom already. i hope it wont come a point when i have to follow my mom for facial or yoga sessions because im literally dying from boredom at home! well for a start, i've been doing serious packing and cleaning up of my room. HAH. and i never realised it can be so exhausting! emptied out tonns of trash and worksheets that had been piling up since sec1. and awww... i can finally breathe now in my clean and dust-free room :) gonna look for some paint and furniture at ikea to do up my room during the next couple of days. hehe. the weather has been particularly cool these days. perfect for sleeping! but nolah. thats bad cause im really waiting for the sun to come out so i can go for my swim! and yes, footdrill training is only effective when theres a hot sun! hahas. but honestly i like the weather the way it is now. will it ever snow here? :)

LAST PAPER

was wondering how my bottle of facial soap ran out so fast within a week and why my bathroom floor was always so soapy. and today i found out thats cause the bottle had a hole in it! urghh. thinking of that, questions came to my mind. what is the rate at which the soap leaks out of its bottle? how is the soap able to leak out of its bottle? why is the soap soapy? amaths, physics, chem... uurgghh! yesh, that were the only things my whole mind was filled with for the past 2 weeks >.<

but thank God, everythings over now... 'SIGH'. somehow i really want to go somewhere to scream, cry and let everything out. all thats been inside of me. the stress, anger, frustation, tiredness.. haha, okay. i shall not get too emotional here. today's the last paper - history. for a start, well maybe i don't really hold very high expectations for myself when it comes to studies. i think most importantly was that i did do my best, and theres nothing to regret. and im sure thats what my parents would ask of me. so... i can say im rather pleased with the papers so far (:

yeah, i've finally decided what i'm gonna do after the papers. hahas. no, im not going out to wreck havoc. but im just going to be a good boy and go home to pack my room, get rid of all the books! (or maybe i shouldnt incase i retain. TOUCH WOOD. i sure hope not. hahahas ) then i'll go to church to give thanks for all thats happened during the past two weeks, and then its off to chill with my buds! unfortunately harry potter's all sold out. all alina's fault for buying so many tickets and leaving none for me!!! grrr. WATCH OUT.

just a week to go

thank goodness, the weekends are just what i need right now. spent most of the weekend studying and at church. attended gwen's confirmation mass at holy cross today. though it was pretty long, but then i still thought we should put God above everything else and so, since somethings are more important than studies, i decided to take time off the books and attend the mass. congrats to gwen, brian, marcus, chartel and recardo on receiving the holy spirit! i pray that you guys will use this gift well and continue walking in the way of Christ and to be a light for Him :) so as much as i had a great time there, it also gave me an opportunity to remember and renew the vows i've made for my own confi. praise God!

mann.. 6 papers to go, and its all over, OVER! and then... back to redcross meetings.

smack in the middle of Os

like finally. Os are here! the past few papers have been alright. stress level not yet at his peak as my papers happen to fall on alternate days, so theres more time to study, and the killer papers are only nexk week! i just hope it wont get any worst than it is now. somehow i've been thinking more about what i'm gonna do after the exams instead of concentrating on the papers themselves. heh heh. so... ok, please keep the prayers coming in for us all, especially those taking their As too, you're not forgotten.

another day at essential brew

talk about going to bed early, and theres matches on tonight! or these few days rather. how leh? today's deepavali and thursday's gonna be hari raya. public holiday or not, doesn't seem much of a diff to us muggers. spent the day going for tuition and the rest of it at holland v's essential brew. if you havent been there, well its this really cosy and comfy restaurant with low tables and you have to sit on the floor. not to worry, there are cushions and pillows provided! highly recommended for a late night chill out or pleasurable reading. studying... er, not so much lah. cause once it gets too comfortable you most probably will end up falling asleep and drooling on the nice cushions... just like i did. hahas, nonetheless i did managed to finish reading the whole of twelfth night :)

ok, its to the tv for now before going back to the books! enjoying yourselves or not, i'd still like to wish all out there a happy festive week. do take care and God bless!

happy halloween

its way past morning and im still feeling high. must be due to the gym session i had earlier. ever since all the studying began, so did the munching. hah, and i have obviously grown fatter. see, thats the bad thing about not going to school. you get to gain the calories and rot at home. urgh, with all the halloween celebrations going on tonight, its a good night to be out partying. unfortunately for the exams, i'll be home for the next 2 weeks without a life. so you non sec4 people out there please spare a thought for me and don't tell me how you're enjoying your holidays alright? hahas, don't forget your turn will be soon. ok, well that also means i should be getting my biological clock adjusted back to proper working form before next monday.

ah yesh, how can i forget. happy 16th birthday to melvin! thought i would forget eh? as promised the harry potter treat's on me after the last paper yah? :)
